Highlights of the new Bing Chatbot

Since Microsoft launched its chatbot, Bing Chatbot, approximately three months ago, the company has promised ongoing improvements to enhance its capabilities.

Just two weeks ago, Microsoft announced

the lifting of restrictions on access to the

chatbot and revealed upcoming new

features that will significantly enhance Bing

Chat’s performance compared to its

previous version.

Here are five of the new features we would like to highlight:

Bing Chatbot

Chat History Access:

Microsoft introduced the option to access

your chat history in Bing Chat. This means

you can continue your previous

conversations if you close the chatbot and

return to it at a later time.

Integration of Third-Party Add-ons:

In the near future, Microsoft will enable the

integration of third-party add-ons with Bing

Chat to facilitate accomplishing more tasks

using the chatbot. This includes

functionalities such as flight bookings, hotel

room access, online shopping, restaurant

reservations, and more.

Visual Answers with Images and Charts:

Microsoft has improved Bing Chat to

provide more visual answers that include

videos, images, charts, and graphs.

However, the chatbot doesn’t provide visual

elements for every question asked. In most

cases, you will need to request visual

content to be provided.

On the other hand, you can now ask the

chatbot to generate images in over 100

languages. Additionally, you can utilize Bing

Image Creator to generate unique images

using artificial intelligence technology

similar to tools like DALL-E and Midjourney.

Web Browsing While Using the bing Chatbot:

If you are using the Edge browser, you can

browse different websites while using Bing

Chat’s chatbot within the sidebar. This

allows you to read information from a

website while asking questions to the

chatbot.

Furthermore, you can select any text on a

website if you want the chatbot to provide

further explanations on the topic. Microsoft

also mentions that Bing will soon have

features to summarize long web pages and

PDF files.

Collaboration Features:

Microsoft will be adding collaboration

features to Bing Chat’s chatbot. This will

include export and sharing options if you

wish to collaborate with friends or

colleagues.

You will be able to directly copy chats to

Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or any other

web page using the “Add to site” button

located at the bottom of the Compose tab in

Bing Chat’s chatbot.
